Phased Facilities Planning
When a school district prefers to accumulate data and develop an understanding of issues
impacting the educational program and facilities over an extended period, NESDEC's Phased
Facilities Planning is a good alternative. Phased Planning is also a way to spread out the
cost of a comprehensive planning project over time in order to make it more affordable for
a school district.
In Phased Planning, NESDEC guides the district through a series of studies
focusing upon:
- enrollment
- demographic factors
- educational programming
- building capacity
- option development
All of the separately developed study components can then be integrated
into, and serve as a basis for, a comprehensive long-range planning document.
