Demographic Reports

When a more detailed analysis of enrollment is required, a NESDEC demographic study can provide the information and insight needed for long-range planning. As part of a demographic study, experienced NESDEC staff visit the community to gather data and to interview planners, realtors, relevant municipal officials and others in order to plot future trends and the reasons for them. Based upon this in-depth information, multiple future scenarios can be developed. A NESDEC demographic study can be an important step toward a more comprehensive analysis for education programming and facilities planning. Analyzing the expected "student yield" from proposed residential construction is a question often addressed in a demographic report, or can be the focus of a "mini-study."  Trends within the student body such as English Language Learners (ELL) or eligibility for free/reduced-price lunches may be included within a study.
